New White Blackberry Phone - Blackberry 9700 Bold White Edition
This latest colour variant takes the same features, technology and design found in the original black edition and encases them in a new cool white finish, judging from the success of the previous white Blackberry phones the new 9700 Bold looks to be a winner with a new audience looking to stand out in a crowd.The main features of this high specification device include Blackberry emails services for easy communication on the go, WiFi, Bluetooth and HSDPA for fast connections and a 3.2 mega pixel camera which although was featured in the previous 9000 series has now had improved optics added and further camera features.
Also known as the Blackberry Bold 2 the 9700 offers the trademark front facing Qwerty keyboard that many say is far better than the standard design, once mastered it allows for fast text input when composing emails, text messages, blogging and updating your social network status.
The manufacturer has also now launched their Blackberry App World where users can browse and download a growing number of new applications to keep them both entertained and informed. One of the biggest improvements over the previous Bold model has to be the inclusion of a new optical track pad as opposed to the older physical one which was prone to wear and tear with prolonged usage.
There is a number of competing handsets available on the market with similar camera specifications as well as emailing and internet capabilities, these include the Motorola Milestone with its Qwerty slide out keyboard as well as the LG GW620. Matching the camera resolution is the Samsung Galaxy Portal and Samsung Genio Slide with the Genio also packing a Qwerty keyboard.
Other phone models with similar internet support include the Nokia X6, Nokia N900, HTC Legend and Samsung Omnia 2 although all of these improve on the camera resolution by offering a 5.0 mega pixel camera. There is only one other Blackberry phone matching the Bold 9700 in terms of specifications and that is the Blackberry Storm 2, but this handset incorporates a full touch screen experience for menu navigation and general operation rather than the track ball solution.
The new White Blackberry Bold 9700 has been released on the O2 network, there are further launches expected on rival network operators over the coming days as well as a Pay As You Go release planned for this fast, ergonomic and practical mobile phone.
